Lyme Vaccine

Bordetella Vaccine (Kennel Cough)

Given at 12 weeks of age, then annually. Required by most groomers & boarding kennels. Recommend for dogs in frequent contact with other dogs.

Core Feline Vaccine

Given at 8, 12 weeks of age, then annually. Important for prevention of diseases that can be passed from cat to cat. Recommended for all cats in good health.

Feline Leukemia
Given at 8, 12 weeks, then in a year, then every 2 years.

Rabies Vaccine

Given at 12 weeks of age, then at 1 year, then every 3 years. Prevents contraction of rabies, which also affects wildlife & humans, and it is passed via direct contact, such as a bite. Recommended for a pet that goes outside or shares a home with another outdoor pet. Required, with appropriate documentation from the veterinarian, for pets travelling to the United States.

Internal & External Parasite Control

Our wonderful island environment is a perfect breeding ground for parasites. We carry a wide variety of effective flea products in oral, topical and injectable forms. We highly recommend heartworm prevention for dogs travelling to the mainland, the U.S. or eastern Canada (including Winnipeg).

We also carry products that treat internal parasites and recommend that every pet that spends time outdoors is treated 2-4 times yearly. Ticks are known to carry Lyme disease, so if your dog accompanies you on many walks in the wilderness, or you live in the Nanoose Bay area, we recommend monthly tick prevention.

Our staff can advise you which product best suits your pet’s needs.

We offer internal and external parasite control. Please feel free to inquire about the best options for your pets by contacting our knowledgeable staff.
